Bongo star Omary Mwanga aka Marioo has dismissed claims by WCB boss Diamond Platnumz that he once asked to be signed to the label.
Marioo has pointed out that Diamond's claim was just a slip of the tongue and that it had no merit.
He was responding to the famous Bongo presenter and comedian Mwijaku who asked for the truth about the allegations under one of the singer's posts on his Instagram page.
"Ongea kitu mashabiki zako tupoe. Ulikosa nini mpaka uliomba kwenda UCHAFUNI? Tuambie tujirekebishe," the famous Tanzanian gossip asked.
Marioo replied, ""Hahaha Mkubwa kateleza, mfupa hauna ulimi😃." Earlier, Diamond in an interview had claimed that Marioo followed him to his house asking to be signed in WCB.
Diamond, however, warned the 'Mi Amor' hit singer against the move, warning that it would cause more harm to him.
"Before serving the sweet beer, Marioo came home. When he came and we talked, he wanted me to sign him. I told him, Marioo, when I look at you, I see that you are doing well, I feel like signing you is not doing you justice because you are already doing well.
If I sign you, you know there are other people who will bring their hatred because you are with Diamond and don't play your songs. There are many radio stations that don't play my songs, they won't play yours," he said.
The WCB boss said he instructed Marioo to think about the move and their conversation before making a decision.
He also said that he promised to help the Bongo star with any problems he was going through. "I told him if you have problems, come to the office and we will give him the money. We talked well and my younger brother Marioo understood me," he said.
Diamond also noted that his relationship with Marioo is good and revealed that they meet regularly.
