Nominated Nairobi Senator Millicent Omanga has praised her husband for being supportive.

The outspoken politician says despite her prominence her husband is not intimidated one bit.

Sharing her story with Massawe Japanni on Ilikuwaje, Mama Miradi as she is fondly known by her fans shared

"I thank God for giving me an understanding husband. Before I joined politics and we talked about it.

We are mostly together, when we are not together he gives me his blessing. He is my biggest advisor and my critic.

There are days when I have to go and give a speech and I am not in the right frame of mind to clearly know what to say."

Omanga added, "He advises me on what to say and what not to say. He sometimes writes my speeches."

Omanga is married to Francis Nyamiobo with whom she has two kids, a son, and a daughter.

Although he is not much in the limelight Omanga says she would never ask for anything else, given how supportive her husband is.

She terms her husband the pillar behind her political strength.

This goes to show that not all men are intimidated by independent women, some love it.
