President William Ruto convened with the Goodwill Ambassador of the International Organisation for Migration, Mo Farah, at State House on Tuesday.

Mo Farah, a long-distance runner, serves as the Goodwill Ambassador of the International Organisation for Migration and is currently on an official visit to Kenya, which commenced on Sunday.

During their meeting, Ruto emphasised the significance of facilitating smooth migration processes. He stressed the importance of global collaboration in finding solutions to ensure that migration yields positive outcomes rather than negative consequences.

"Migration should increasingly be viewed as a quest for opportunities, even in situations where movement is compelled by conflict or the impacts of climate change," he remarked.

Additionally, the President also held discussions with Sharon Dimanche, the Chief of Mission at IOM.
