Legendary musician Hubert Mbuku Nakitare, commonly known by his stage name, Nonini, is still pushing for Nation media Group to pull down his photo as a cover photo in a controversial article.

On his official social media platform, he noted that efforts to bring down the article were futile.

"They were told to pull it down! Even up to today the link is still live! Sasa tufanye aje? #Image rights shall & will be Respected as well. #Kaende #Mgenge2ru" he wrote.

The article got published on Nation's digital space in February 2022.

"Senior government official refuses to provide for son," the title of the published article read.

Part of the article says, "a senior government administrative official from the Rift Valley could soon get in trouble after failing to provide for a child he sired with a woman from Kisumu County four years ago. Our mole says attempts by the child’s mother to reach him have borne no fruit as he has refused to pick calls and doesn’t respond to messages.

"He has since blocked her calls and all other channels including WhatsApp since she delivered.  He has also refused to pay school fees for his young son despite promising to provide for him. The woman is now planning to expose him soon and seek help from the courts after running out of patience."

Fans in the comment section were fanning his flame as they said,

eoluoch2: Umekosewa heshima hapo, unachanua watu pia 🫡

bryan_eshi1e: Kumbe unakuanga deep state😁😄

It seems 2022 is an 'eventful' year for the Genge Godfather, following his recent rights battle with an electronic company.

In July, Nonini threatened to sue the company as he wrote,

"Syinix Electronics decided to do a very brilliant advert using my song WeKamu. The only problem is they didn't ask for permission."

In a mission to shed light, he added, "A synchronization license is required no matter how small a portion of the song you use especially for commercial purposes. If a song is synced on a video, you will need to pay the composer of the song no matter how small the portion of the composition is used."
