The Nigerian government has banned all international talent and advertisements from being played in Nigeria.
The Nigerian government is big on playing local music and talent; Nigerian music and films are very popular in their country hence the high view they acquire.
Afro beats have grown so fast that it's among the genres that are listened to across the world; Nigeria has put Africa on the map when it comes to music.
The government states that from October 1st companies and other media outlets should only play local talent; from acting, modelling, music, and voiceovers.
With this being implemented the talents in Nigeria will be appreciated and that will grow the country and its people too.
The government is looking for a change, where most of the voiceovers were from British and other foreign countries, they currently want that to change to support local talents.
In Kenya, things are different as the President of comedy Eric Omondi has been initiating that Kenyan music should be played more in clubs and radio stations.
This was not well taken by fellow Kenyans as he was ready to fight for the music industry but his cries fell on deaf ears.
Eric Omondi had an idea of implementing new ideas when it comes to Kenyan music.
He also attacked the Kenyan music industry saying that it had been lagging and that other countries are passing us by.
Eric also decided to protest outside the parliament saying that they should pass a bill that makes it that 75% of Kenyan music should be played all across media houses and clubs.
This scandal led to Eric being arrested due to the chaos he caused outside the parliament.
A few hours after Nigeria declared the banning of foreign content, KRG the Don reposted the post on Nigerian's comment and tagged Eric Omondi asking if they should go back to work.
"We must be heard by our government too," he wrote.
