Musician and TV presenter Peter Miracle Baby and his girlfriend Carol Katrue have joined the growing list of Kenyan celebrities who have been awarded the prestigious Silver Play Button by the YouTube Management.

The couple received the plaque after their YouTube channel surpassed the 100, 000 subscribers mark.

A thankful Miracle Baby shared the good news via his social media platforms - thanking their fans for enabling them achieve the new milestone.

“Asaaanteni sana mafans wetu🔥🔥 tutazidii kuwapatua more on our YouTube channel miracle and katrue,” Miracle baby wrote.

The Ni Tuinuke hitmaker joined the streaming platform on June 3, 2020 and so far he has garnered over 6 million views on the channel.

A number of celebrities joined the conversation, congratulating the two for a job well done in the music industry.

Comedian Terence Creative said; “Congratulations and keep together mtaenda mbali saana, kunakunga na blessing specific when you work with your wife,”.

Miracle baby embarked on doing Mugithi music together with his girlfriend after a group he belonged to - Sailors Gang ran into trouble with their management.

The two have since released a number of songs together including Wendo wa Matahre and Andu A Wairu both which have more than one million views on YouTube.

Peter used to be the lead singer in Sailors Gang, but currently he has been doing solo projects as the future of the group remains unclear.

Other Kenyan celebrities who have received the Silver Button are Abel Mutua, Ndovu Kuu, Desagu, Ngugush, Chebet Rono, Alex Chamwada, Dr King’ori, Milly Chebby, Nadia Mukami, Nyashinski, MASAUTI, Mwalimu Rachel, Breeder LW, H_art the Band, Kate Actress, Blessed Tugi and Ethic.

Singer Otile Brown is the only Kenyan artistes who have been awarded the Golden Plaque by YouTube after his channel surpassed the one million subscribers mark.

“Look at what y’all did...y’all are some amazing human beings. Thank you for the 1 million YouTube subscribers Obizeeeee #justinlovemusic,” Otile Brown shared.

Comedian Daniel Ndambuki stage name Churchill also received the Gold Play Button in 2019.
