Aslay lands major deal after Diamond wished he could sign him

• Aslay is a among the most talented Tanzanian singers who used to be managed by Diamond's manager Mkubwa Fella

• He was part of the YaMoto Band that had Mbosso, Enock Bella and Beka Flavour

Tanzanian singer and songwriter Aslay has finally announced that he has been signed by Rockstar Africa, which is one of the most celebrated and prestigious records labels in Tanzania.

In a statement shared on social media, the former YaMoto Band member said that he is excited to be joining the Rockstar family to propel his music career to the next level.

“Ninafuraha kuwaambia Mashabiki, Vyombo vya habari na kila anayenifuatilia kwamba hivi karibuni nimejiunga na RockStar Africa @rockstarafrica .

(I am happy to inform my fans, members of the fourth Estate and everybody who follows me that I recently joined the RockStar family)”, Aslay announced.

The Bongo flava star who has been missing in action for some time confirmed to his fans that he is back and ready to give them hit songs under his new management.

“Imekuwa safari ndefu yenye matumaini makubwa katika kusimamia kazi zangu za muziki.Hivyo basi, Nawaarifu kutegemea mengi makubwa katika muziki wangu na kuniona katika hatua kubwa zaidi.

(It’s been a long journey fully of hope and optimism when it comes to managing my musical work. On that note, expect bigger things in my music career and watch me excel to the next level)The singer also expressed gratitude to God, saying he learned a lot for the period he was missing in action)," Aslay stated.

Adding that;

“Nina kila sababu ya kumshukuru Mwenyezi Mungu kwa kipindi chote ambacho nilikuwa kimya, hakika nimejifunza Mengi. Ningependa kuchukua wakati huu Pia kutoa shukrani zangu kwa kila mmoja wenu kwa support mnayoendelea kunipa katika muziki wangu hata wakati nilipokuwa kimya. Asanteni sana,”

(I have every reason to thank God. I have learned a lot for the short period I have been quiet. I would also want to use this opportunity to thank everyone who supports me if when I was releasing new music. Thank you.),” Aslay remarked.

Aslay’s new deal come days after WCB President Diamond Platnumz expressed the willingness to work with the singer under his record label.

Chibu Dangote argued that Aslay is not doing well in the music industry despite being talented. He added that if Aslay was signed by WCB Wasafi he would be a big brand by now.

"Everyone knows Aslay. He is very talented but he is not doing so well. If he was in my hands, he would be a big brand," Diamond said.

Other Tanzanians who work with Rockstar Africa are Ommy Dimpoz, rapper Young Lunya, and songstress Abigail Chams.

The management and record company was founded by Tanzania’s Christine ‘Seven’ Mosha who used to be Alikiba’s manager.
