Trade, Investment and Industry Cabinet Secretary nominee Moses Kuria has has said that his net worth stands at Sh750 million.
The former Gatundu South MP said this is in form of properties in real real estate and shares held in unrelated companies in various businesses, the manufacturing sector, fintech and in the energy sector.
Kuria who was the fifth to be vetted made the revelation on Tuesday while appearing before the National Assembly Committee on Appointments at County Hall, Nairobi.
Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, during the vetting process put Kuria to task over shares he holds at petroleum dealers.
"Not to interrupt but he is the chairman of petroleum dealers, so how many shares are there?" Junet asked.
"I'll say as much but honourable Junet is one of my share members so I welcome that," Kuria responded.
National Assembly speaker Moses Wetangula interjected in the matter and affirmed that both politicians may be required to disclose their shares and figures in the companies.
"We may require both of you to disclose those figures," Wetangula stated.
Others who were vetted today includes;
Kithure Kindiki (CS Interior)whose net worth is Ksh544 million, Njuguna Ndung'u (National Treasury) Ksh950 million, Aisha Jumwa (Public Service) Ksh100 million and Davis Chirchir (Energy and Petroleum) Ksh482 million.
Kuria also promised to play his role in ensuring that the country adapt a culture where political competition is not enmity.
