Grandpa records founder Noah Yusuf, alias Refigah is among the list of aspirants who were cleared by IEBC to run for the Kibra MP Seat.

Refigah is vying under the Azimio la Umoja Umbrella on the DAP-K party. In a statement, Refigah said he is ready to walk together with the people to transform the community.

"The journey to restore the lost glory of the Kibra constituency has officially commenced after I was cleared by IEBC today accompanied by my great supporters drawn from every village of Kibra," he said.

"I am truly grateful to the people of Kibra for believing me, holding my hands, and encouraging me in the journey."

Refigah promised to ensure there was water for the people and to start a training institute for the youths.

"It's time to fix Kibra through servant leadership. Servant leadership is all about making the goals clear and then rolling your sleeves up and doing whatever it takes to help people win," he said.

"In that situation, they don’t work for you; you work for them. I have shelved everything to dedicate my life to making Kibra better. Success is empty if you arrive at the finish line alone. The best reward is to get there surrounded by winners and the winners will be the great people of Kibra."

In a past interview with Mpasho.co.ke, Refigah said he is guided by his vision and dream for Kibra residents, and would like them to focus on that.

"Manifesto is boring. Anyone can stand and give you the best manifestos. Talk is cheap. I will keep on sharing my dreams and vision with the people of Kibra, but I would like them to see me from where I am from and what I have done," the Grandpa records boss said.

Having founded the Simama na Kibra Foundation, Refigah says he has touched the residents' lives more than his competitors.

"We should start with a track record before yapping about manifesto."

Refigah will be competing against Mwalimu Orero of ODM and former Harambee Stars striker Macdonald Mariga.
