Wednesday, April 27 marked the last day for Kenyans to view the body of the late President Mwai Kibaki who had been lying in state at Parliament buildings.
At Parliament, Kenyans not only got a chance to view the body of Kibaki, but to also pay their tributes in a condolence book that was unveiled.
Now, Kenyans who could not visit Parliament to pay tribute to Kibaki can now do so digitally.
The government has created a website; www. Mwai Kibaki.go.ke where everyone can pay tribute to Mwai Kibaki at the comfort of their homes.
All you need is a mobile phone, click the www.mwaikibaki.go.ke link and on the right side of the page, click the 'send tribute' option.
After clicking the link, you will enter your name, select the title then go ahead to write a message that can be as long as you wish.
The website also contains TBT photos of President Mwai Kibaki during his past official functions and fun times with friends and family.
Kibaki's biography which includes his political career, early life and his presidency is also highlighted in detail on the website.
At the bottom, the tributes that have been written by leaders like President Samia Suluhu, Yoweri Museveni, Raila Odinga, William Ruto can be accessed by anyone.
