Jacque Maribe's post on her Instastories early this morning will surely get Kenyans talking in excitement.

The former Citizen TV journalist shared a never-before-seen image of herself, the current president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, and Nation Digital head honcho, Oliver Mathenge.

The dated photo was taken when President Uhuru was much leaner than he is at the moment, in 2011 to be exact.

Jacque remembered saying that both Uhuru and Oliver (while using some colourful language) had thrown her a memorable birthday party.

She added that she knew that Uhuru would one day be the Head of State, which she has since come to pass.

"Tuseme ukweli au tuwache? On this day, you people( I'd really like to say m0therfvck3rs but I am decent) you threw me one heck of a surprise birthday party. And I told @Uhuru Kenyatta he would become president. See."

Maribe had once worked alongside Uhuru and William Ruto during campaigns for the Jubilee coalition.

Jacque and Uhuru maintained that good friendship after he became president. In fact, it nearly got her into trouble after a certain interview she did with him after he became president in 2014.

Maribe had initially gotten the interview after Uhuru personally called her to do it right before she was scheduled to go on maternity leave.

But drama would ensue after her bosses said that it should be conducted by a different, male journalist, a move Maribe resisted.

“I got angry. I was like why? Is it because I’m a woman, is it because I’m heavy and you think I’m not up to the task? It actually brought a bit of tension."

Uhuru backed her saying he would only do the interview with her.

“Later I had to get back to the President and tell him unfortunately I’m not the one who's going to do it. He said then there’s no interview,” Maribe said in a recent interview.

Her interview with the president would eventually air as a two-part series.
