Tragedy has hit once again. The family of missing blogger Bogonko Bosire is in mourning barely a month after they buried one of their own.

Bogonko’s younger brother, Joshua Mangwari Bosire, 37, died a month ago after committing suicide.

Joshua was battling depression. He lived with Bogonko in the same apartment in South B for five years until his mysterious disappearance.

Now, the dad, David Bosire is said to have died.

Announcing the news, media personality James Smart tweeted, "Bogonko Bosire's father has passed away this afternoon in Molo. The family has experienced dwindling fortunes since the disappearance of the journalist turned blogger in 2013."

The family has been calling on the government to revive investigations into Bogonko’s disappearance for years.

One of his close pals, Dennis Itumbi posted on his social media about the last time he interacted with Bogonko.

“Then Westgate happened. We could not understand how Jackal could be silent on such a major issue and our friend was nowhere to be seen. Our friend was nowhere to be seen,” says Itumbi.

The search for Bogonko began.

“We searched for him. We used our networks to trace him. We got data from cellphone companies. We followed up every rumour and fact. We hang on every tip. We got a great Police officer at Industrial area who kept us hopeful. We ignored the naysayers. Still, we could NOT trace our friend,” Itumbi explained.

It is 8 years now and the family hold on to the hope that Bogonko will go back home to them and relieve their pain.
