A few days back, Mr. Oparanya felt compelled to speak up after trending for days. In a video shared by Mary, Oparanya admitted the photos were genuine and questioned why someone would leak them to the public.

"I have seen someone circulating genuine photos. I don't know why someone would waste time circulating them. It is very unfortunate that wherever I took those photos, they leaked them to the press.

Those are very decent photos and I don't know the interest that people have when you have taken photos with a loved one," he said.

Speaking to Tuko on the same, Mary Biketi added that she has been affected by the attacks she has been receiving from people claiming she exposed the former governor.

"It feels totally bad but there is nothing much I can do. At the same time, I have been receiving positive comments and I just thank God and the people out there for the encouragement," she stated.

Biketi said as a private person, she could not leak the photos adding that she would not want to expose the former Governor in that way.

"But now that they are out there, there is nothing much I can say," she reiterated.
