After three minutes, the King was seen laying a wreath as he was accompanied by two officers.
The President was also seen doing the same before they exited the Uhuru Garden.
The King and the Queen Consort Camilla arrived for an official state reception and were received by President William Ruto, First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
Their majesties arrived at State House, Nairobi, at around 10:49 am to commence their four-day official visit.
The visit is set to focus and spotlight on the strong and dynamic partnership between the UK and Kenya.
Their Majesties’ programme includes events and engagements in Nairobi and Mombasa Counties reflecting the ways Kenya and the UK are working together across trade and investment, development, and defence.
Throughout the visit, their Majesties will meet a diverse range of Kenyans reflecting the strong people-to-people ties which exist between our two nations, with a particular focus on Kenya’s young people.
The King and Queen are expected to spend time with conservationists, environmental activists, artists, entrepreneurs, veterans, the Kenya Wildlife Service, as well as schoolchildren.
