King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla of the United Kingdom are expected at State House, Nairobi, to commence a four-day official visit.

According to the program, their Majesties will arrive at the State House at around 10:45 am and will be received by President William Ruto.

Journalists braved the cold morning to cover the event.

Their majesties will also inspect the guard of honour and will take the famous handshake photo at the steps of State House Nairobi.

The leader will also be entertained by the Kenyan band.

The visit is set to focus and spotlight on the strong and dynamic partnership between the UK and Kenya.

Their Majesties’ programme includes events and engagements in Nairobi and Mombasa Counties reflecting the ways Kenya and the UK are working together across trade and investment, development, and defence.

Throughout the visit, their Majesties will meet a diverse range of Kenyans reflecting the strong people-to-people ties which exist between our two nations, with a particular focus on Kenya’s young people.

The King and Queen are expected to spend time with conservationists, environmental activists, artists, entrepreneurs, veterans, the Kenya Wildlife Service, as well as schoolchildren.

The session will last for about 20 minutes, and the leaders will attend separate meetings where the King will be with Ruto and the Queen with Mama Rachel.
