Popular news anchor Lulu Hassan has taken to social media to celebrate the birthday of her husband Rashid Abdalla.

In the short and sweet Instagram post, the screen siren described Abdalla, her fellow news anchor at Citizen TV, as the father figure she never had and explained how important Rashid is in her life.

"Happy birthday my person, my boss, the father to my children. May God grant you long life and good health... You are very important in my life. God knows. You are the father figure I never had ... My best friend... My personal person."

Adding that "May God protect you rash. ❤.. May God protect you from evil. and give you the desires of your heart.. May your prayers in this holy month be accepted 🤲.. xoxo."

Rashid also went to his page wishing himself a happy birthday as he also prayed for abundance to whoever supports him in whatever he does.

"On this day, for all those who wish me well, I pray that God grants them abundant grace, goodness, and success and for those who do not wish me well, God I pray that you give them success in abundance, good health, and comfort. All of these have been important pillars in my life. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!" he shared.

The couple who co-present Nipashe has never shied away from displaying their affection towards each other publicly.

 The lovebirds are among the most loved TV presenters around and their Saturday relationship show on Citizen TV every Saturday at 7:30 pm always leaves many glued to the screen.

The two got married in Mombasa in 2009, having met while working at Radio Salaam.
