Gospel artist Daddy Owen has just revealed that one of his biggest life regrets is getting married after he was already in the limelight.

The 41-year-old notes that he wishes he got married before he became famous. This comes roughly about 2 years after his marriage to his long term lover Farida Wambui ended rather dramatically after four years of being wedding and about 9 years of dating.

His other regret is the fact that he didn't start a family earlier. In a recent interview the Papa Fololo hit-maker voiced how deeply he wished he had started a family early.

“I got married in my 30s, but honestly I wish I got married before fame. So I grow into fame and already having my kids.

So when all these things are happening, you’re just on a different level. But now getting married at the peak of your career is a different story,” the gospel artist voiced out his regrets.

On plans of remarrying, Daddy Owen made it clear that he hasn't given up on love and will wed again when the time is right.

However, he is in no rush as he notes that first off he needs to do lost of internal work to bring out the best version of himself. A little ironical as a few months ago he wouldn't shut up about his wife hunting plans and making public the qualities of the lady he was looking to settle down with.

“It is more of now who you are. One of those things I decided is that I will go and work on myself and change one thing here and there and after that, other things will flow,” revealed the artist.

Speaking about his divorce the gospel artist noted that despite people criticising him, many of them don’t know why exactly he divorced. He however didn't get into it but promised to talk about it one day.

“I was trolled like four months after my breakup. It helped me have tough skin. You can be a nice guy but something beyond control happens and you have nothing to say,” he recounted.

He also explained that during his divorce, lawyers demanded that nobody should speak publicly about the case so as to avoid more drama.
