Renowned singer, Peter Okoye a.k.a Mr. P, has undergone hair transplantation in Istanbul, Turkey, while expressing how baldness has deprived him of joy.
The P Square band member used his Instagram story to share a summary of his journey, which spans across Asia and parts of Europe.
According to Peter Okoye, the plan is to restore his receding hairline and appear more confident in his photos for his fans.
"Hey guys, Mr. P here. I'm here in Istanbul with a doctor who is taking care of my hair. You know I've been really worried about this, but guess what, you'll see the before and after of the procedure these people are about to do," he said excitedly.
In the next video on his Instagram story, he showed the progress of the hair transplant during lunch break.
He confirmed that approximately 2,400 hair follicles were extracted from different parts of his scalp and transplanted into the bald areas on his hairline.
"The extraction part is done, we have about 2400 and it's time to eat. I'm feeling 100% good, nothing to worry about; just to look good for you guys," he added.
On Thursday morning, Okoye shared another video update, showing the progress of his first day of transplantation. The caption of the video read, "Day 1. Progressing well."
Men's hair surgery has become increasingly embraced in recent days, with a large number of affluent men opting to travel to Turkey to have their heads fixed.
Last year, Kenyan entrepreneur, Jimal Rohosafi, opened up about undergoing the surgery to stop hair loss on his scalp.
