Friend updates on Davido/Chioma state of mind

• Three-year-old Ifeanyi reportedly drowned in a pool on Monday, October 31, 2022.

• Police continue to unravel circumstances that led to their sons death.

Davido and Chioma's Uk-based Nigerian pastor and close associate Tobi Adegboyega has disclosed that the singer and his fiance are both getting stronger.

This follows their 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi 's death earlier this week. The world reacted to the sad news moments after it was revealed with friends and well-wishers sending messages of condolence.

Adegboyega updated many in a post on his Instagram page on Thursday that they were better.

He stated that he has spoken to Davido twice since the incident, and that he is getting stronger.

“Spoke to the No.1 OBO, 2nd time. He is getting stronger, he is rising, they are both getting stronger. Praise God,” he wrote.

Police meanwhile continue to unravel circumstances that led to their sons death.

Lagos State Police Command has said that unravelling the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, amid worldwide condemnation about the circumstances surrounding his demise will be tough.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman of the Command gave the update in a tweet.

He wrote: “It can be tough having to confirm certain incidents. My heart goes out to @davido and @thechefchi at this difficult period. May God grant them the much-needed strength to bear the loss.”

It was reported that the nanny was with the toddler when the cook came to join them.

The nanny claimed to have moved away to receive a call leaving the child with the cook who also insisted that he left the boy in the care of the nanny.

The child’s body was later found in the pool by a security guard 20 minutes later.
