CNN reporter Larry Madowo is in Nigeria reporting about flooding in Yenagoa in Bayelsa state where residents are angry at the government's response.

His pictures literally in the flood waters interviewing affected residents have gone viral with Kenyans commenting on how impressed they are about his dedication to the job.

Larry had this to say about the dire situation in Nigeria.

"I’m at risk of catching a water-borne disease, getting electrocuted or bit by something nasty. This is important enough that it was worth it."

The moment captured international attention as thousands of people worldwide responded to his photo.

So Larry shared another picture to show another similar situation on the ground, hilariously captioning it

"Sometimes all you need is hoochie daddy shorts to dive into a story."

While people are appealing for quick and innovative solutions to the flooding, others can't help but comment on how good Larry is at his job.

But over the years, the man has made a habit of impressing people with his great journalistic skills.

Below are other times Larry has also gone viral while doing his job;

Larry Madowo once interviewed a Sudan PM Abdalla Hamdock about being possibly being under house arrest.

The Sept  2021 interview was about a failed coup attempt. The heartbreaking reportage got people discussing about the peace and conflict in the country.

In another interview while anchoring on air five years ago, Larry got into a heated discussion with Miguna Miguna.

The highly-heated debate had a premature ending after Madowo and Miguna failed to agree over a statement Miguna made that seemed to be advocating for violence.

Larry ended the interview and told him never to come back.

“Don’t call me back here if you’d keep on interjecting when I am expressing my independent views,” Miguna said.

Madowo told the outspoken lawyer never to return to his show.

“If you are not going to answer my questions then don’t come back to my show!” Madowo told off Miguna as the two kept on arguing before he abruptly ended the show: “We leave it there then.”

The fourth moment he went viral was on October 1st 2022, when his phone alarm rang live on air.

The embarrassed Madowo cheekily explained that he was tired and forgot.

"My alarm just rang on TV! I can never show my face in public again."

He added; "Don't even get me started on my eyes."

The thing is he handled it so smoothly one would not realize there was an oops moment.
