Amin Mohamed, the New Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) boss, has given the public his phone number.
In his swearing-in, he said the purpose of giving out his Phone number is to be accessible to persons who might need his assistance.
"I will always be available, and for purposes of records, I would love to declare my number which is, 0722415419, so that any member of the public or any other person who feels like reaching out to me can easily reach out to me,".
Kenyans have shared their mixed reactions, with the DCI boss giving his number as they wrote,

I want to urge all Kenyans and foreigners living within our borders to obey the Kenyan law, and we should not have any reason whatsoever to come for you.
We shall try as much as possible to work together in harmony in the spirit of collaboration with other security agencies such as GSU, KPS, and other actors of the criminal justice system."
