Popular Virtual rapper FN Meka signed to Capital Records

American record label Capitol Records have signed their first Artificial Intelligence (AI) rapper known as FN Meka.

The robot was created by Anthony Martini and Brandon Le , who also started their own record label.

The virtual rapper has over 10 million Tik Tok followers and has been named the first top virtual being.

FNMeka has released a single called 'Florida Water' that features the hottest rapper in Atlanta Gunna and Fortnite Streamer Clix.

The virtual being will also be featured in a commercial on Apple music.

The Capitol Executive Vice president of Experimental marketing and business development stated that the FNMeka is the new thing in the industry. The robot meets the intersection of music, technology, and gaming.

When the co-founder Anthony Martini of Factory New label was asked what they intend to do in the future, he said that the voice used at the moment was human; as time goes by they intend to have collaborations with computers.

It seems the signing of virtual artists is the new thing as other record labels have been doing it for years now.

Warner Record label signed K pop SM entertainment, where it features four human artists and 4 virtual members; this is a girl group that is called Aespa.

This is not only happening in the States as in China, Warner Group Pan Asian has a dance label called Whet Records that signed Ha Jiang a virtual artist.

Netizens did not take this very well as they complained about how there is an artist with real talent who is not given a chance to be on a record label.

The virtual being sparked up different reactions from different people as others were not surprised by the news due to the evolution of technology and therefore they saw it coming.

However, Anthony Martini and Brandon Le are excited about the new venture in the music industry and the technology world, on how things will turn out to be eventually.
