KOT reacts to flour subsidy ending next week

The floor subsidy that made some save a cent or two is set to end next week.

It has been taxing being a Kenyan these past months, from fuel prices hiking, schools abruptly crossing, and now the end of the subsidy flour.

The news broke after the chief executive at Capwell industries made a statement denoting that the contract they had with the government is culminating next week.

"The program was to run for a month from the contract that we had with the government. It is coming to an end next week,” remarked Rajan Shah, chief executive of Capwell Industries.

In July, the government had an agreement with the millers to have a subsidy program that runs for a month.

KOT had a lot to say on the same, some couldn't care less while others proceeded to suggest alternatives.
