KOT advises switch of TV stations to manage ulcers

• Kenyans have come up with jokes to try and reason why there are different figures

• The concern has been addressed by the media council

Kenyans online are joking about which TV station they are tuning into to keep updated about the presidential results.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has authorized media houses, politicians, members of the public and other interested parties to independently keep track of the results by sourcing data from the electoral body.

The Media Council has responded to KOT concerns.

Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has permitted media houses, politicians, members of the public and other interested parties to independently keep track of the August General Election by sourcing data from the electoral body.

Media Council CEO David Omwoyo said in a statement that

"The Council confirms that the results being projected are all from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) though the sequencing by different media houses is from different voting areas,"
