It is reported that on Tuesday as Kenyans lined up in numbers to cast votes, the Mumias West MP aspirant, Echesa harassed a Nation Media Group journalist at the Mumias Township polling station.

The female journalist was reportedly harassed after she spotted youths sharing money and took pictures of them.

Echesa is said to have confronted the journalist, demanding to know who she was and why she was taking photos.

During the confrontation, Echesa pushed her back and forth, and later forced her to delete the photos, some of which she reported were of the politician at the polling station.

The former CS later got into his car and sped off.

The journalist reported the matter to the Mumias police station and notified the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission of the altercation.

However, the source of the money still remains unknown.

Echesa is currently running for the Mumias West Member of Parliament seat.
