Celebrities pay tribute to late President Kibaki

He passed away aged 90

Celebrities have come out to eulogize the late president Mwai Kibaki, who served as the 3rd president of the nation.

He was loved by many for his wit, sense of humour and expressive nature when addressing issues.

His death was announced on April 22, 22 by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Following the presidential address, a couple of celebrities came out to pay tributes to the late Mwai Kibaki and send their condolences to his family.

Radio presenter and artist Shaq the Yunging posted a video of President Uhuru announcing that Kibaki had passed away, he also commented saying that the late president is the best the country has ever had.

Comedian Jalangoo posted on his feed a picture of the late Mwai Kibaki, voicing that the late president had served the country well.

"Go well, Mr President! You served your country well!" His post read. 

Classic Fm presenter, Maina Kageni posted a picture of the late president thanking him for his leadership skills. His post read, " Thank you for everything, Mr. President. Rest in Peace Mwai Kibaki."

Mzazi Willy Tuva took to his Instagram page to praise the late president's legacy and leadership. "Kenya was good in your hands, today Kenya is in a bad situation to receive news of your death. Rest in Peace Mwai Kibaki." His post read. 

Tiktok Star, Azziad Nasenya tweeted, "RIP former president Mwai Kibaki." 

Comedian Brayo Sammy paid tribute in a post saying, "May God comfort the family of President Mwai Kibaki. Rest in peace."

His grandson model and media personality, Sean Andrew mourned him in a subtle manner. He changed his profile photo across all his social media platforms replacing them with a blackout photo.

The black profile picture is usually used when people are protesting social injustices but it can also be used on the occasion that the user is sad or depressed.
