Mama Rachel Ruto and her President-Elect husband William Ruto are the names on everyone's lips. This was after Ruto was declared the winner of the just concluded August 9th Election.

What is notable is how tight the couple has been since Ruto's days before he joined politics.

Despite their age, they are never shy to celebrate each other. Like they say 'behind every successful man there must be a woman.'

For Ruto to be the man he is Rachel has been behind it.

1. While receiving the Presidential elect certificate at Bomas, Racheal congratulated her husband on the win by posting the caption below.

"1 Corinthians 15:57. But thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Congratulations Bill. Kenya has spoken!" she posted, accompanied by photos from Bomas of Kenya. 

2. In December 2022 Mama Rachel Ruto, penned a special message to Deputy President William Ruto as he celebrated his 54th birthday.The couple was also celebrating their wedding anniversary

Taking to social media, the Second Lady expressed her gratitude to the DP for the life they have shared.

"It fills me with great joy to celebrate another year of life with you. Today, we celebrate your birthday and our wedding anniversary. You are passionate, loving, kind, and have been a great father to our children," Mama Rachel wrote.

She took note of the trials, and achievements they had been through together and was thankful for having traversed through life with the DP.

"Doing life with you has been the greatest adventure of my life & I'm eternally grateful to have you in my life. Happy birthday, Bill. 

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out & help. Eccl.4:9-10," Mama Rachel concluded.

3. While addressing a women’s group at Emali Market in Kibwezi West Constituency, Rachel defended her husband after being bashed for contributing too much to churches.

Racheal said Ruto’s habit of giving started way back, describing him as a selfless being.

“His habit of donating to churches is not something he started today.

Let people not be bothered by his generosity. Yeye atapeana, atapeana, atapeana, hata mpaka hatakuwa nayo,” she said.

Adding, “The Bible says that the hand that gives, is the one that receives. What’s the secret of being blessed?” she posed.
