• DNG was campaigning for the Woodley MCA seat on a UDA ticket.
• DNG thanked those who had supported his candidacy in his acceptance speech.
Prolific MC and former gospel singer, Davidson Ngibuini aka DNG has won the UDA nomination for the Woodley Kenyatta Golf course Ward.
Mr. Ngibuini was quick to thank his supporters in posts he made on his Instagram stories. He noted that his enemies had tried to use the fact that he was raised by a single mother against him.
"I may be young. I may not have much money, I may have been raised by a single parent as has been used against me but I have the heart of God and of my people."
He added that no matter what his 'coward opponent' did, he had still been chosen by the people,
"I realised that without a doubt, that the love is real; and that Woodley Kenyatta Golf course Ward has made its choice in favour of my candidacy- no matter how much money is poured by my true coward opponent hiding in the shadows. I am grateful to God for this opportunity."
DNG joins fellow creative, Refigah who was nominated by his party. The Grandpa records boss, real name, Yusuf Noah, was given the green light to vie for the Kibra parliamentary seat on a DAP-K Party ticket.
