KTN TV presenter Jamal Gaddafi has officially droped the mic to focus on his political ambitions.

The Maisha Mzuqa show host has bid goodbye to his TV job to focus on his ambition to become the Malindi Member of Parliament.

"It's time for a new adventure. Yesterday was my last show at KTN as I start a new chapter of my life in politics," Jamal shared on Sunday.

Jamal could not hold his tears while bidding goodbye to Maisha Mzuqa's producer and his co-hosts Laura Mbatha and DJ Epic.

He joins a list of journalists who are eyeing various elective positions in the August General Elections.

Kiss FM presenter Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang'o is also expected to drop the mic to focus on the Langata Parliamentary seat campaigns.

KBC Radio Presenter Bonnie Musambi is also expected to quit his job and join the political space.

Last year, the Media Council of Kenya gave a directive that all journalists and Media practitioners intending to contest for political seats should resign in February.
