It has now emerged that the SGR is losing Ksh 200 million per day.

This is despite Kenya being overwhelmed by loans taken from different countries.

During an interview with Kamene and Jalango on the Morning Kiss, TISA National Coordinator Wanjiru Gikonyo said

"It was recently discovered that the government has used the Kenyan ports in Mombasa. If the government is not able to pay that China loan, China will take over the port's operations. They did that in Zambia, the people were forced to kick out their president."

Wanjiru added, "The SGR is losing 200 million a day just running it but we are still running it. A good chunk of the China money disappeared."
