Yesterday, the son of Kibwezi was laid to rest. Kalembe Ndile who was the former Kibwezi MP was laid to rest at his Mbui Nzau home in Kibwezi West, Makueni County.

The body of the former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile arrived at Yiiya ya Maimu, Makueni County, on Friday for interment.

Family, friend and political big wigs attended the burial ceremony. Among them was ODM leader Raila Odinga, Wiper leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka , Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, Makueni Deputy Governor Adelina Mwau, Woman Representative Rose Museo, Kibwezi West MP Patrick Musimba and Kibwezi East MP Jessica Mbalu.

He was the loving father to Hon Catherine Mbithe, Anthony Wambua Kioko, Stephen Musyoka, Jascinta Wayua, Lucyanne Ndunge, Daniel Kyalo, Christine Mutheu, Mary Muthoki, Benjamin Ndile, and Wilfred Mumo.

Kalembe's daughter Lucyanne Ndunge penned a moving tribute.

"Thank you good people for the support, the love, the comforting messages."

Adding,

"We laid dad to rest yesterday. We look back but we don't dwell. Better days are coming, we believe. y'all kind and full of positivity. Have a blessed weekend."

She continued, "I will love you for a thousand years," adding, "My sponsor, my first love. sleep well."

On the day his memorial service was hosted at the Holy Family Basilica she paid tribute to her dad saying, "I did not know today was going to be our last. Or that I would have to say goodby to you so fast."

Until his demise, the late Kalembe was a director at Tanathi Water Works and Development Agency (TAWWDA) and the CEO of Macha B Resort in Machakos Town.

He had business interests spread across the hospitality industry, construction and real estate among others.
