Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has said he will be going bigger in the entertainment industry this year.
In an exclusive interview with Mpasho.co.ke, the controversial politician said he plans to host more exclusive parties and meetings for corporates as well as top musicians and celebrities for entertainment and ceremonies including weddings this year.
"I am welcoming all those musicians, local and international artistes as well as those who plan towed this year," he said.
"I will give them discounted rates and offer them maximum security as they get entertained and make merry.
For those who are looking forward to having weddings, Salama Bling Beach Resort will not only offer the best services but will enjoy entertainment, locally sourced and from abroad to enjoy their lifetime," he said.
In January 2022, Mike Sonko gave Kenyans a glimpse of his club, dubbed VIP Volume Club in Mombasa County.
The establishment borrows a lot of its interior decor inspirations from Sonko’s luxurious Mua Hills Home in Machakos.
Sonko has other various entertainment joints in the country.
Among them is Salama Bling Beach Resort, located few meters from Mtwapa town in Kilifi County.
Sonko owns Kimerimeta Safari Lodge and Club Volume in Shanzu, Mombasa.
Sonko also owns Casuarina Club in Buru Buru, Nairobi.
In an earlier post on his social media, the former politician said politics was not his only source of income.
"Those who thought politics was my everything were misguided. Any job is worth it, you can attest by how far I have come," Sonko stated describing his success story.
In May, he hired Harmonize to perform in his VIP Volume Club in Mombasa.
