Gukena FM's MC Jimmie Kajim on Sunday held a thanksgiving event at his home in Mang'u Primary school.

The colourful event was graced by the who is who in the industry. Among those who attended were politicians, both Mugiithi and gospel artistes, Radio and TV personalities and fans.

The business community was also represented by various companies sponsoring his event. Kajim walked to the ground in a limousine accompanied by his beautiful wife Silvana Wambui.

Speaking to Mpasho.co.ke at the event, MC Kajim said 'home was the best' adding that the event marked a new beginning in his life.

"This event, all I wanted was for God to be glorified for the far I have come. I never thought by the age of 28 years, I would have amounted to something. I am very grateful and I will urge every youth to use every opportunity around them," he said.

"The reason people back home support me is that I have always been involved with their activities and I support them."

Kajim's friends at the event described him as a humble and hardworking person.

The message of peace during the coming general election domineered the event with various personalities calling out for a peaceful general election.

His advice to young people is every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.

"Regardless of who mistreated you, what lies you've been told, or how bad your past has been, you have a future and God has good plans for you and above all, never give up."
