Renowned media personality, author, and human rights activist Janet Mbugua has revealed the highlight of her career as a journalist.
On her Instagram page, Janet shared a video of herself watching a short clip on her phone. While engaging with someone in the background she went on to detail that she was re-watching a clip from her prime journalistic days that gives her immense joy.
"I'm watching my... this was the highlight, I think as far as highlights of my career as a journalist go this could be it. I covered Mandela's burial back when I was at Citizen TV," started off the mother of 2 as she shared a footage of herself from back in the day, reporting the demise of the former South African president as well as a clip showing his casket.
Janet went on to reminisce about the whole experience detailing that even though now she is super obsessed with that day and having such a high coverage experience on her portfolio is a plus for her she is in no way thrilled about how some events in regard to that day unfolded.
"The way that day started was so bad, like my phone has never gone off on the one night it went off, (I don't know what happened) I was woken up by my doorbell. Upon opening the door, I find one of our company's drivers and immediately I put two and two together switched on the TV and there it was Breaking News Nelson Mandela has died," narrated the philanthropic author recalling the details of December 2013.
