For the very first time, Diamond Platnumz has spoken widely and at length about how he feels seeing his former artist Harmonize expanding his wings.
The artist was speaking in a live online session with a relative who asked him the question wanting to know how Simba feels and if there is really a musical rivalry between him and Harmonize.
Diamond said that Harmonize has given him great joy in that he is like any father who raises a child and comes to see him doing well in the thing that he trained and raised him to do.
"First of all, it's a great comfort for me, you know I've been lucky, I'm very lucky considering that all my artists are doing very well musically.
All the artists who have passed through my hands Harmonize, Rayvanny, Mbosso, Zuchu and others are doing very well. And to be honest, that gives me a sense of comfort, I feel that they have not failed me as a parent," said the artist.
Diamond revealed his reason for uploading music charts that show the names and figures of all artists on digital music download platforms, saying that his pleasure comes when he sees all those who passed through his hands trying to challenge him on those figures.
"I feel happy when I see that the artists who came from my hands are the ones in the figures. Not out of spite but because it's fun.
Sometimes I just write the numbers 1, 2, 3... 6.. etc. It's a very good thing. Their departure and going to start a label, starting what is just a continuation of Wasafi, and that gives me a lot of motivation," Diamond said.
Diamond said that doing well for the artists he has promoted inspires him more and revealed that he will soon sign two other new artists to the Wasafi label.
"This gives me a lot of motivation to continue producing many new artists. As I said I hope to release two more artists.
