The father of the late Sharon Njeri has spoken days after an alleged video of her daughter taking an alleged poisonous substance surfaced online.
In an interview on BNN, Sharon's father faults DJ Brownskin for filming his daughter as she tried to consume an alleged poisonous substance after an alleged domestic feud.
In a recorded video, Sharon's father calls for justice in the case of the death of his daughter. He spoke of his sadness at seeing the video trending online as the family had been trying to recover from her sad demise in 2022.
"Nilipoteza mtoto last year na hata mtaki ni heal. When I'm just going to heal tena social media. Sijawahi ambiwa kuna shida ya bibi na bwana, sa hii ndo naona"
The video has sparked national outrage as calls for justice mount.
Her father told how he learnt of her death;
"Nilikuwa kazini nikapigiwa simu and told she had taken poison" No further explanation was availed to her dad.
"Sijawhi ambiwa kuliukuwa aje" he shared.
He also admitted that the couple never appeared to have any disagreements to suggest there was a problem in their marriage.
"Najua wameishi viuri na furahah walitembeela kwangu kamulu wakiwa na watoto wao wawili. Sasa kuhusu hii mambo ya social media mara wanasema ati sijui amefanya nini nimeona yeye (Brownskin)anajua kupiga video sana"
In the attempted suicide video, Brownskin is heard asking their household to bring milk for his wife Sharon after taking an alleged poisonous substance.
"Mbona anasema mambo ya aliwapata, si yeye anajua shida ya si angechgukuwa hata hiyo video mimi nataka tuu mtoto wangu niridhike kama mzazi niridhike tuu, my daughter apewe justice.
"Mimi sina ubaya na mtu niko na wajukuu huwezi chukuwa video ya mtu umezaa na yeye watoto wawili akifaa, even if you had such problems, she had died from your love, but yet you are taking a video of her dying. Is that what she is worth, kumbuaka kitu alishawahi kufanyia," the father lamented.
In the disturbing video, Njeri is heard telling her husband to take care of their kids.
He continued to say;
"You had all that time to take the video instead of saving her life, sina ubaya"
