Musician Nameless has mourned singer friend Kunguru who passed on, Sunday at a Nairobi hospital.

Through his social media pages, Nameless expressed sadness at waking up to the sad news of Kunguru passing.

He recalled that they were both signed to Ogopa DJs in early 2000 adding that he had left some good memories and hits.

Nameless wrote:

"Oh my , waking up to the sad new of Kunguru passing...πŸ’”πŸ’”...We were both signed to Ogopa Djs in the early 2000...Rest well my brother.

You left us with some good memories and hits. πŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏ#BabaDonGo #AfricanWoman #RestinPeaceMyBrother."

According to his former manager who spoke exclusively to Kiss FM's Dennis Milimo, Kunguru passed away on Sunday at 2:00 pm

He had been admitted to a Nairobi Hospital for the past few weeks.

The former Manager explained that the star has been in and out of Hospital since 2017.

He attributed his prolonged illness to an accident he suffered back in 2009/10 that affected his spinal cord.

Media personality Gidi Gidi was among the first people to mourn Kunguru.

β€œRIP my friend KUNGURU πŸ™πŸΏ,” Gidi Gidi mourned Kunguru.

The musician is mostly remembered for his club-banging tunes β€œI Will Never Let you Go” and β€œBaby Don’t Go”, featuring Mr. Lenny.

Kunguru was formerly baptised as a β€˜ladies’ man’, which could widely be attributed to his lyrics and style of music.

He started rapping at a tender age, although his debut in mainstream showbiz was in 2006 when he released African Woman featuring Mr Lenny.

He was a married man and he also worked in the Banking industry apart from his musical career.

He was among the few talents that were retained by Ogopa Deejays when they terminated the contracts of most of their signees back then.

Our Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
