The Kenyan Musician industry is mourning the sudden demise of Veteran musician Eric Onguru aka Kunguru.

According to his former manager who spoke exclusively to Kiss FM's Dennis Milimo, Kunguru passed away on Sunday at 2:00 pm

He had been admitted to a Nairobi Hospital for the past few weeks.

The former Manager explained that the star has been in and out of Hospital since 2017.

He attributed his prolonged illness to an accident he suffered back in 2009/10 that affected his spinal cord.

Media personality Gidi Gidi was among the first people to mourn Kunguru.

“RIP my friend KUNGURU 🙏🏿,” Gidi Gidi mourned Kunguru.

The musician is mostly remembered for his club-banging tunes “I Will Never Let you Go” and “Baby Don’t Go”, featuring Mr. Lenny.

Kunguru was formerly baptised as a ‘ladies’ man’, which could widely be attributed to his lyrics and style of music.

He started rapping at a tender age, although his debut in mainstream showbiz was in 2006 when he released African Woman featuring Mr Lenny.

He was a married man and he also worked in the Banking industry apart from his musical career.

He was among the few talents that were retained by Ogopa Deejays when they terminated the contracts of most of their signees back then.

Our Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
