Gidi Gidi remembers Fidel Odinga in touching message

• Gidi has described the deceased as a person who had a good heart whose actions are still remembered.

January 4, is the day when the death of ODM leader Raila Odinga's first son, Fidel Castro Obange Odinga is celebrated.

Fidel died in January 2015 at his home in Windy Ridge, Karen after partying with his friends the night before.

The presenter of Gidi and Ghost Morning on Radio Jambo, Gidi Ogidi has remembered the deceased as his friend and brother.

While remembering him, Gidi described the deceased as a person who had a good heart and whose actions are still remembered.

"My friend Obange, my brother Fidel, we still remember you. A good-hearted person you left us early but your actions live on," Gidi said on his Facebook page.

He attached the message with a photo of himself with Fidel from the days when the deceased was alive. "Continue to rest in Peace brother," he said.

Fidel who was born in 1973 and was married to a woman from Eritrea, Getachew Bekele, with whom they had one child.

His body was found in his bed on January 4th, 2015, in the morning and the cause of death was not immediately known.

He was found dead by his wife who called Fidel's parents full of fear. Before his death, Fidel's political star was shining and he was seen as the unique successor to Odinga's name in Kenyan politics.

Fidel was the eldest son in a family of four children; Rosemary, Raila Junior, and Winnie. He was 41 years old at the time of his death.
