Kenyan gospel artist and podcaster Ben Cyco has shared why he is afraid to have kids at the moment.
Ben says he wouldn't want to be a dad who can't provide for his kids.
Speaking on the Joyride podcast he shared
"My biggest fear about having kids is not being able to provide for them. Staki kuuza mtoto Ebay.
Sometime back I was checking school fees and Kindergarten was going for like 70,000 and am like this is a whole Master's school fee."
Ben is married to fellow content creator Wanjiru Njiru, a woman he met 11 years ago.
"We met at an ex-high school programme at CITAM Valley Road we didn't kick it off at first but kalienda kakiendanga and now we are here," said Wanjiru.
On his part, Ben said, it has been very interesting, "God's grace has been enough and I'm excited." He added that it has been an 'OK journey', smooth sailing and he highly appreciates the process.
In one of their podcasts, the couple revealed that some of their friends were against their relationship but they have since learned to accept that, it is a personal choice.
They had to catch up with the person they chose and not for him to match up to their standards.
"It is very naive of anyone living this life thinking that you'll just be going places where people will just rubber stamp what you've chosen. You know you only have one life."
Speaking about their Podcast, Wanjiru says the joyride "is just like a really fun space and community that we have built of people who like to be inspired, who like to be vulnerable who like to share their experiences."
But why the name Joyride? We just wanted a name that would reflect the journey that we are on and having people just join that journey.
They say on their podcast they tend to have conversations that most people run away from where they tend to learn from their audience and vice versa.
