Mugiithi singer Samuel Muchoki alias Samidoh has unveiled the photo of his late mum Miriam Wairimu.

Through his social media platforms, the father of five shared a photo of his mum who smiles exactly like him celebrating the impact she had on his life.

Samidoh described his mother as his source of inspiration.

"Wherever u are, wherever I will Go you will remain my source of inspiration!!" Samidoh captioned the photo.

The Mumbi hitmaker went on to credit his success to her saying;

"I am Because you were!.#Maituwairimu (My mother Wairumu)#niwathiirenaihenya (You left us too soon) Nikio ndaguciarire na ngiguciara ringi (That is why I gave birth to you twice.),".

Samidoh’s mother Miriam Wairimu was a farmer and she died when the singer was only in form two.

He told Mpasho.co.ke that he used to sing with his late mum Wairimu in the church choir and crusades.

Samidoh known for his prowess in the Mugiithi sector credited his success in the music industry to his late mum.

When he was in Primary school, Samidoh did manual jobs to help his mother by working on other people’s farms for money.

He said his mum mentored him by singing along with him in church and crusades.

"I wish she was alive for her to see how her prayers molded me and kept me going," he said.

"Music has always been a talent that I am passionate about I just wanted to express what I have and the trending all came by a surprise all through God’s favor,". 

Samidoh's Late Father. 

His late father Michael Ndirangu was a police officer and was killed in tribal clashes when Samidoh was only three years.

Soon after, they were kicked out of their Subukia home by his father's brothers. His family was forced to relocate to Oljororok in Nyandarua County.

“I was born in a family of 6, we are 6 boys and I’m the third born. Mama alikuwa anaitwa Miriam Wairimu lakini alituacha. Na Mzee alikuwa anaitwa Michael Ndirangu. He was an Administration Police (AP) Officer. He worked in Nakuru and Molo na alikufa ile time ya clashes. Huwa naskia hizi vita za kikabila roho yangu inachafuka juu ziliniacha bila baba," he saidf in a past Interview.

Samidoh is currently on a tour in the US for two months.

"My first tour was great and well-received. We are going to the states that we missed out on in our previous one,".
