Madam Boss known to many as Akothee has said her ex-husband is allowed to marry whoever he wants.

Akothee was married to Jared Okello with whom she sired her three daughters.

Taking to her socials Akothee revealed that she is legally divorced from Jared.

Our wedding cost Ksh2, 500.

Akothee went on to reveal that she filed for divorce after five years of marriage. The divorce was finalized in 2011

"Divorce papers were filed in 2007. The Decree was NISI ( Absolute) This marriage was therefore DISSOLVED on 22nd May 2011.By SUPREME COURT.

Both parties are free to marry whoever they want including a tree. And your opinion won't hold any water."

In a past post, Akothee shared how her divorced from Jared affected her girls. The mother of five said the turmoil she went through is not something she would wish even on her worst enemy.

'It's easier said than done, but I tell you, divorce is worse than death, especially when children are involved.

I would never wish for any parents to divorce after living together for years and bringing up their children as a family, I am not saying you stay in a toxic, violent unsatisfactory relationship.

But if it ever happens that there is a need to break up then please try to do it discreetly without involving your children

Like most mothers, Akothee says she did everything she could to protect her kids to help them cope.

'The only medal CUP I gained is trying as much as possible to cover my children's eyes never to see their father as an enemy it was hard.

I took bullets, I broke down when bills were overwhelming, and my children never saw my tears, after my divorce, they only learned about my struggles on social media, when I started sharing my past."

She would bring her kids gifts to try and fill the void left behind by Jared.

"My children will never understand whether I have money or not, they have never seen me struggle they think I have all solutions in the world and that's my strength.

"I bought them gifts every time my other children's fathers came to visit their children with gifts, I made sure I received the gifts first combine with mine and present as a family.

"I forced every man in my life to love my children equally, but never asked them to call any of them daddy until OYOO WAS BORN it came automatically," she narrated. 

Akothee added that her first kids Rue, Vesha, and Makadia learned to embrace the situation but it was not an automatic thing, it was a process.

'They still had their biological father, whom they Loved so much, still love him, they call him DAD.

"It was difficult at times when they insisted they wanted to talk to him, This broke me down SEVERALLY, knowing he has moved on with another family and calling him will disrupt his peace and the other family might feel like I am interfering with their peace.

"I took them out every time they were not in school, and we spent all our Saturdays and Sundays on the beach.

"We went to church once in a while, since the songs sung in the church would trigger the memories of the children since we brought them up in a strong church environment," she continued. 

In conclusion, Akothee said their kids chose to forgive them and gave them a second chance.

'Jared and I played a part in ruining our children's happiness while growing up, we broke their hearts to the core.

I know and we all know that it can never be the same, inside them, they are broken girls, thank God they forgave us and we are living as a family now '
