Tanzanian songbird Vanessa Mdee and her husband are proud parents after their son Seven turned a year old.

Through her Instagram page, Vanessa showered her son with praise as she thanked God for blessing her with a son.

"See what the LORD has done. Seven is 1 - and it feels like you just got here. My baby you’re a divine gift and I am honored to be your Mama. Thank you for being our biggest blessing," she wrote.

The mother of one added;

"No long speech 🎤 just a moment of worship and a prayer that we can continue to give GOD the glory for your life always. I love you with all of me for as long as I live my Bobo. Happy 1st Birthday."

Her hubby actor Rotimi also wished their son well by sharing photos of his son on his social media. The couple also threw a lavish birthday party to their son.

Rotimi and Mdee have posted photos of their son on social media but always make sure they hide his face.

A few months ago, Vanessa explained why they will not show their baby’s face on social media, saying,

"We are celebrities but our child never chose that. He never chose that life and it comes with a lot of things. We are giving him a chance to know himself," Mdee said on Instagram live.

"He is a young man. Let him grow up. It’s not like we are hiding him. You all know that he is there. He is our baby, he is our heart."

Rotimi and Vanessa got engaged in December 2020 and in 2021, with the singer hinting at the time that she would hold a white wedding with her fiance Rotimi.
