Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Friday September 23 responded to his viral nickname Riggy G.
Laughing about it, Mr Rigathi told a crowd in Kisumu that he has no problem with it.
His style of addressing Kenyans is being mimicked on Tiktok to perfection by a Kenyan named Zachariah Kariuki.
Zacharia was on Friday Sep 23 interviewed by Citizen. He said that he was a 22-year-old University student.
The third year student who is pursuing Computer Engineering, began uploading his 'Riggy G' skits on TikTok a week ago before they blew up online and amassed thousands of views and likes.
Zacharia uses the moniker 'Mr. KK Mwenyewe', if you want to search for his skits on the video app or on YouTube.
Zacharia also dresses as shabbily as Riggy G, using clothes to make up the politician's belly.
Rigathi has changed his fashion but Zacharia references the baggy suits Riggy used to wear. One interesting thing about the Tiktok skits is his accent. He will leave your ribs cracking.
Zacharia told Citizen that he has attracted the attention of Azimio One Kenya politician martha karua, who responded to the Riggy G skit.
Zachariah says friends told him he fits the Riggy G character perfectly.
"It came super easily for me. My friends advised me to take up the Gachagua challenge and I pulled it off. I then decided to keep it up since everyone seems to be enjoying them so much," he said.
Another Kenyan who also pulls off the accent is content creator Terence Creative, who has several videos on his YouTube channel.
