Father to Hellen Wendy, a woman who died in Canada while swimming on a live Facebook session says he is traumatized after watching the video.

In an interview with CNN, John Nyabuto Kiyondi said

"I watched that video. I cried. It is terrible.

She communicated with me two days before she perished. She sounded very fine and I was very happy. She promised me a phone. I didn't feel anything abnormal," he said.

Nyabuto says her daughter was their bread winner adding that it will be hard moving on from her deah.

Enock, one of Wendy's five siblings says the family has been pushed back to the drawing board after their sister's death.

"She has been in Canada for about three years.

All the financial responsibilities (of their family in Kenya) were on her.

'Back to square one"

Wendy's father, a smallholder farmer in Kisii, southwest Kenya, said he is "back to square one" now that his daughter is gone.

"She was assisting me financially to educate her siblings, particularly in terms of school fees and other expenses. I'm stuck now and back to square one. I'm wondering how her younger siblings will continue schooling," Nyabuto told CNN.

Nyabuto who is a father to 6 children, learned about Wendy's death on Thursday night, August 18, after receiving a text message from Wendy's friends informing him of the sad news.  

After that, he (Nyabuto) also received a call from Canadian officials who informed him that his daughter had passed on.
