Tanzanian singer Nandy has rubbished allegations that she paid Tanzanian radio presenter Mwijaku to attack and discredit fellow musician Zuchu.
This is after leaked audio clips emerged in which a female voice believed to be that of Nandy, is heard telling Mwijaku to discredit Zuchu over a past alcohol endorsement deal that she (Zuchu) declined.
Mwijaku came out to the public with claims that Nandy was ready to pay him approximately Sh91,000 for the job.
In his statement, Mwijaku further claimed that he turned down the offer as it would not sit well with him.
"Alitaka kunilipa shilling million moja na laki nane, kupost kwenye page yangu na alisema anitumia hela kwa Bank account yangu, lakini nikamwambia hapana, kama utanipa pesa kama kaka yako ni sawa lakini sio kunipa pesa nimzungumzie mtu. Zuchu ni Kijana mdogo na anapambana kwenye kuimba na anaimba vizuri kwa hizi dili zenu ndogo mkiniingiza mtakuwa mnanikosea," Mwijaku said.
Nandy shared a comment on the clip which seemingly brushed off the claims.
"…daaaah mbonaaa kuuliwa…," Nandy commented.
In yet another interview with Bongo media, Nandy said she is used to the attacks online but is focusing on the positive things.
"Right now, let us just focus on my music. I have been attacked so much online and I rarely respond to my haters. I don't want to speak about those clips since it will not help anyone at all," she said.
"I will allow it to pass like the others fake allegations. I have true love with everyone and I have never had intentions to do bad things to anyone. We should support each other. Mwijaku and I have been friends but I have told him that karma will catch up with him. If what he did is right for him, its okay but I will not explain to anyone about such things."
Nandy made it clear that she is in good terms with Zuchu.
