Gospel singer Kevin Bahati has finally revealed that he always wanted to marry an older woman. Bahati said he married his wife Diana Marua because he wanted to experience motherly love.
Speaking to TV47, Bahati expressed how his wife had impacted his life.
Bahati said he wanted a woman who could show him what he missed since he grew up in a children's home and as an orphan.
"She has taken care of her family before, she is the elder sister, and it's like she is the one who raised the younger ones. Because I'm an orphan, the moment I wanted to start a family, I wanted someone who can create a space for a life I never had before," he said.
When asked about the things he does not like about his wife, Bahati pointed out that he dislikes when his wife denies him conjugal rights.
"There are times when she does not want it for like two or three days," he said.
In a past interview, Bahati said he matured early due to a lack of parental love.
"I’m proud of my wife’s age, I always wanted an older woman, I matured up at the age of 12, growing up in the ghetto and I knew I’d want a woman who wouldn’t stress me out," he said.
