Diana Marua and her husband Bahati

Gospel musician describes the first year he started dating Diana Marua one of the toughest.

Speaking to Mseto East Africa, Bahati said whenever he and Diana would have a disagreement, she would always move out of their house and go back home.

That meant Bahati would go and look for her and to him he was always starting over.

"When we started dating of course like any other relationship or marriage we had a lot of challenges. But in the first year of dating she had a habit of packing her things and leaving our matrimonial home after every disagreement." He said.

Asked what contributed to Diana moving out Bahati said Diana always complained of lack of time spent with her hubby because of his work and commitments as an artist.

"I had a lot of challenge trying to balance family and my work as an artist. At that time we had a newborn."

Bahati said he is lucky he has never been caught or suspected of having an affair. He went ahead to reveal that while one of his phones has no password, Diana knows the password to the other.

"I have never touched her phone with the purpose of snooping through because that is how you build trust and I don't know whether she touches my phone when I am deep asleep, I will have to ask her about that."

Speaking about Diana B's musical career, the aspiring Mathare MP said he was as shocked to learn her interest into joining the industry.

"I was as shocked as many Kenyans because I didn't think that one day she'll wake up and want to hit the studio but she is a fast learner." He said.

Bahati says he loved Diana's confidence and flow and says his wife is slowly improving on her song writing skills.

He added that when you compare Diana's first song and the collabo they did together, Diana oozes growth when it comes to her lyrics and punchlines.

"You know she is a brand on her own and I allow her to also explore different ways to reach her fans and she loves music but doesn't really love singing as much."
