• Philip Karanja, director at Phil-It mentioned that the film made Ksh. 2.5 Million just from the premier weekend alone.

Click Click Bang, the second feature from film director Philip Karanja made him Sh 2.5 million during its opening on Friday last week.

The movie follows the success of their debut film, a grand little lie, which was nominated for BestMovie: East Africa at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

They sold out the cinema for the premier of the film in four days.

Philip Karanja, director at Phil-It mentioned that the film made Ksh. 2.5 Million just from the premier weekend alone.

It is the second film since Grand Little Lie to bring in profit since independence.....and all this is not for nothing.

The thrilling, honest, emotional movie revolves around Kev, a super talented footballer and orphan with a sick sister to take care of.

We see a realistically heartfelt portrayal of what it means to be a young man in Nairobi, failed by the lack of systems not put in place to give you a chance to succeed.

But a man –and his dependent – have to eat. The film touches on everyday Kenya themes such as poverty, a bromance, violence and the ever-failing Kenya system.

The filmmakers are Phil Karanja, Abel Mutua and the screenwriter and Michael 'Smallz'Munyoki, who direct the movie. It is produced by Denise Kibisu-Ngibuini.

The main cast is Basil Mungai in his first lead role as Kev Motego, Ian Isaboke as Kasisi, Jacky Vike as Mokeira Motego, Amina Hussein as Kadesa and Wanjiku ’Shigwan’ Ngendo as Mamushka.
