Diamond's mum Mama Dangote turned 54 years on Thursday.

Her daughter Esma Platnumz threw her a lavish birthday party at her residence with her children and friends attending.

Diamond did not attend his mum's birthday since he was not in the country.

He was in Belgium but sent a video clip wishing his mum a happy birthday.

He also sent her Tsh 20million that was presented to her by his brother Rommy Jones and his sister Esma.

Speaking to Wasafi FM, Mama Dangote said the party came as a surprise to her as she had no plans to travel or do anything for herself on that day.

She said she was called by her daughter only to be met by the surprise party at her daughter's residence.

"I did not know if there was any surprise party for me. My daughter called me asking me to go to her house without mentioning there was something she had planned," she said.

Mama Dangote praised her children for loving her that much.

"I thank my children so much for the love. Diamond wanted me to go to Zanzibar but I told him I want to invest more than tour.

He asked me how much we spent the other time I was in Zanzibar and I said 30 M," she said.

Diamond's music was played in the background as the excited mum cut her beautiful cake.

The decor for the day was also top notch.

Zuchu was not at the party.

Asked why her 'daughter' Zuchu did not attend the party, Mama Dangote said she was in South Africa to shoot a song.

"Zuchu called me in the morning asking me what I was doing for my birthday. She asked me what I wanted for a present," she said.

Mama Dangote said she is used to being spoiled by her family.

"To all my children, I love them the same way they love me," she said.
